PARLIAMENTARY MODEL

PARLIAMENTARY MODEL

The Federal Climate Parliament was conceived and declared (DR-391-17) in the Honorable Senate of the Nation as an institutional forum for ongoing subnational dialogue, aimed at facilitating the coordination of legislative initiatives, the exchange of good regulatory practices, and the development of common positions on global environmental challenges. The main purpose of its sessions is to strengthen joint work and agree on a common legislative agenda.

[ LEGISLATIVE AVANT-GARDE ]

For the first time in the world, a parliament dedicated exclusively to the ecological agenda will meet regularly, consolidating a model of climate federalism. This experience will be presented to the High-Level Champion of COP30 as an institutional innovation that can be replicated internationally.
